Superbloom - 18x18" on canvas, framed
Inspiration:
I discovered my love for gardening in my late 20’s when I left my corporate job in NYC and moved to rural Western North Carolina to study textile design. After working for years in an office, all I wanted was to be outside, so I got a job as the assistant to the horticulturalist for the small town I lived in. Thus my education on all things gardening and my love for growing things began.
I still love gardening and watching the progress of the blooms in our yard and around the neighborhood in the springtime. This painting started out as something else, but eventually morphed into what looks to me like a zoomed in view of a pale petal unfurling, surrounded by lush greenery.
Details:
Acrylic and mixed media painting on 7/8” thick canvas, framed in a raw maple float frame. The dimensions with the frame are 18.5× 18.5”. The frame is 1.5” deep.
Finished with a satin varnish for archival, UV protection. The painting is titled and signed on the back and arrives ready to hang.
