Hello Sun - 12"x16" on canvas

$480.00

Acrylic, collage, and mixed media painting on 1.5” thick gallery-wrapped canvas. Inspired by the sun, architecture, and vivid colors of old adobe houses I saw while visiting Tuscon, Arizona.

There are many layers of collage and paint in the underlayers of this piece, creating a rich texture with subtle hints of color showing through the white.

Finished with a satin varnish for archival, UV protection. Wired, titled and signed on the back. The sides are painted to match the lightest color in the painting, so it’s ready to hang unframed.

I started this painting last year, left it for a while, and came back to it earlier this year. It went through several different incarnations and finally landed here - somewhere totally different than where I started or what I had in mind.
